SITE LAUNCHING SOON:
the Way of the wretch.

The mission started in 2020, on Instagram first.

The world had gone into lockdown, and I, like so many others, turned to the Internet for entertainment and unorthodox money-making ideas. What I found was a relentless onslaught of fear and chaos and lies — people were terrified, angry and without hope, and they were lashing out (even more so than they normally do on the Internet). So, I started sharing faith-based content, to try and do something to remedy the poison spreading through our lives.

There was a significant lack of engagement on Instagram, so I expanded my ministry to Facebook, Twitter (X now, but it was Twitter back then), YouTube, and even TikTok. Within a year, my "follower" count was at 30,000 and growing daily; it was working, the mission was growing.

...but, I was starting to burn out, because the consistent growth was demanding consistent (and increasingly more) content production, and I was not only a one-woman operation, I was also someone who didn't like social media. I didn't like it for myself, in my own life, and I didn't like being the reason more people were spending more time on their phones, even if the content wasn't entirely objectively worthless. I was only on it because... well, everyone was.

The idea of shifting the entire mission to a website had been brewing in my brain for a while; He'd put it there years ago, and reminded me of that now.

I took it to prayer for months, and He unfolded the details for me, week by week, day by day. By the end of 2022, all of my social media pages, profiles, and various presences had been deleted. If you followed the journey, you might remember when I announced on the platforms that I'd be leaving; you might also remember that I said that this wasn't the end of the mission, but simply the chapter where the old is torn down before being rebuilt into something new.

After two years, we're almost done rebuilding. Bookmark this page. Site goes live in January 2025.
